This week will be another scramble for snow. As a team we need to keep on top of our training. This last week we were fortunate to have had the ability to ski on the field and on our own Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. This week we are scheduled for a race Tuesday but that looks out, we may have some scheduled snow time Tuesday and Thursday for a limited number of skiers. In all our activity, it is vital for you as athletes especially varsity to come to practice and do the work outs and communicate with your coaches about your schedules if you in fact cannot attend, and how you as athlete will make up the practice on the day scheduled. Brief Varsity meeting 45 minutes run or roller ski at school, run 20 then 5x30 at L5 Strength, weight room Tuesday, 12/8 Possible snow Hyland, varsity may need to get out of school 10 minutes early Race or more likely Skate 60 minutes 4x4 L4, 15 minute warm up full rest between cool down L4 is race pace Wednesday 12/9 Girls Varsity goal setting 45 minutes run or roller ski at school, run 20 then 5x30 at L5 Strength, weight room Thursday, 12/10 Possible snow Hyland, varsity may need to get out of school 10 minutes early Classic 60 minutes 2x10 L3 15 warm up L3 is 15 k race pace Friday, 12/11 Practice at school Saturday, 12/12 Work out early and long 2 hours, technique to be determined, details later this week Sunday, 12/13 tentative If you practice on your own this day on snow then Monday off, details later this week |
