Training Plan and Announcements for Week of Dec. 23-28

Over break we will try to have coach-led practices mainly in the mornings. We will just meet at the parks and so skiers will need to organize rides. We hope to see you out there but do understand that this is a busy time of year with many commitments. Stay tuned for changes as some trails/parks may become unskiable with the warm weather. 

If you are not able to make it to practice, try to get out and ski/workout when you can. Varsity and JV1 skiers trying to compete at the top level need to keep working out over break. Try to follow the workout plan even if you can’t make it to practice. Interval workouts are very important and when you go ski, make it count and try to ski continuously.

Note to Ski campers: 

  • Please make sure you turn in all forms and make final payments before you get on the bus. 

  • Make sure you bring a sleeping bag and pillow, there is no bedding on your bunks. 

  • Note that I updated the Packing List as I accidentally had posted a previous version. All meals are provided (Breakfast, lunch and dinner) except when we stop on the bus ride up and back for food, please bring money if you want to buy food. 


Monday - Meet at French Regional Park at 9am

Workout: Skate strength intervals, no pole and double pole with sprint starts. 

Tuesday - Meet at Wirth at 8:30am

Workout: 120 minute ski

Wednesday - No practice, try to get out for a workout, 45-60 mins.  

Thursday - Meet at French Regional Park at 9am (may change to Wirth)

Workout: 90 minute ski

Friday 12/29 - Meet at Wirth at 9am

Workout: L4 Intervals

Saturday 12/30 - Meet at Hyland at 8am

Workout: 90-120 minute ski
