Varsity/JV Workouts, December 23-26

Welcome home from Ski camp.  We had great snow and a great time!

It is really important to keep the momentum in training going even through the holidays.  The training plan below is designed for snow and skiing but can be modified for running or roller skiing.  Some of you are traveling as far away as California, Arizona, Scotland, and exotic Wisconsin and Iowa, for holiday gatherings and travel.  You will have to adapt to local conditions. 

Those of you in town you can do the work outs at Highland of Elm Creek on snow.  Highland has a little over 3k open, Elm has 2k.  As coaches we are unable to accompany a team to any practice on snow at a Three Rivers park without a scheduled and approved practice time.  The only scheduled practice this week is Wednesday (December 23) for the beginners who have not had any time on snow.  Varsity athletes will have to practice on their own until next week when hopefully we will have scheduled time as a team.

90 min easy technique
10 min legs only
5X 20 sec V2 on uphill.

Thursday 12/24
120 minutes
Warm up 
4x5 L4 Skate technique Find Hills as possible

Friday 12/25
Merry Christmas!
try to run 30 minutes and ABS work

120 long classic ski
